Announcements for October 15th

The winner of the Homecoming week spirit challenge is Sophomores with 620 points followed by Freshman with 500, Juniors with 475 and Seniors with 400. However, the overall Spirit challenge leaders are Juniors with 975 points, followed by Seniors with 900, Sophomores with 870 and Freshman with 810. Keep the spirit going because we have a few more challenges coming up with Red Ribbon week and Holiday Spirit Week.

Please stop what you are doing and listen. It is finally here. "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night - Time" opens on Friday night in the RRHS Theater. Tickets are only $5 and the show begins at 7pm. The show will run Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday night. Don't miss the most epic event of the season. 

Underclassmen Make Up Photo Day is October 23rd. Students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grades who did not have their portrait made on Underclassmen Photo Day or who need retakes will report to the auditorium during their lunch period to have their picture made for the yearbook.

All boys interested in trying out for Boys Basketball team, there will be a final interest meeting on Wednesday Oct. 16th at 7:30 am in room 1210. Any questions see Coach Darling.

There will be a meeting for all girls trying out for basketball Thursday morning at 7:45 in room 2316.  If you are planning on trying out, you must attend this meeting.

Is Halloween your favorite holiday? Do you love ghost stories? On Tuesday October 22nd, paranormal investigator and author Heather Scarbro Dobson will be in the media center during all lunches. See Ms. Rubin or Ms. Turner to reserve your spot today!

This Thursday, October 17th, is GLAAD Spirit Day, which is a national day to speak out against LGBTQ bullying and standing with LGBTQ youth, who disproportionately face bullying and harassment because of their identities. Your River Ridge GLOW Club requests that you wear purple on Thursday to celebrate Spirit Day and stand up against LGBTQ bullying.  Go Purple!

Do you have a strong GPA? Are you interested in a wide array of service opportunities? Do you want to be part of a nationally recognized organization? Then Beta Club may be for you! Please join us in the media center on Monday October 21st during 4th, 5th, and 6th period lunches. Can’t make it? No problem! See Ms. Patterson in room 1311 before or after school on Monday October 21st.

AP students need to sign up for this Spring’s AP Exams by October 22nd in order to avoid paying late fees. AP students need to register and pay through Total Registration AND need to register to take the exam in AP Classroom as well.  Links are on the RRHS website and students can see Ms. Freeman in room 2108 with questions.
