Announcements for October 25th

Join us for Knights Abroad's 2021 Spring Break trip to France and Spain.  Don't miss this opportunity to see the world and immerse yourself in other cultures.  If you would like to hear more, please join us for our parent/traveler meeting on November 5th @6:30 int he RRHS Media Center.  Please RSVP using one of the QR codes posted around the school or come see Mrs. Bulger in room 1116 or Mrs. Hamilton in Room 1110.

There will be a very important Track Meeting on Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. in Coach Schultz’s room 1305. Everyone doing track needs to attend this meeting.

River Ridge High School PTSA & SGA are proud to support Red Ribbon Week October 28th - November 1st.


Here is the week's schedule of themes and events:

Monday: “Don’t Do Drugs, Save the Turtles!!”  Dress in your best VSCO Outfit and sign the pledge banner during lunch.

Tuesday: “Don’t Do Drugs, Follow Your Dreams!” Be sure to wear something Disney!  Please visit the Drug Free Cherokee booth in the cafeteria during lunch.

Wednesday: “Red Out for Red Ribbon Week" Everyone is invited to wear red and to wear a HAT for $1 in support of PTSA's fence clips fundraiser. TED Talks will in the Auditorium during the second half of lunch! Everyone is invited to hear two powerful short drug addiction & recovery testimonials.  All those attending will have the chance to win door prizes.  A $100 gift card to Stars and Strikes winner will be announced at the END of the School DAY. The winner must present their drawing ticket to receive the $100 gift card.  The speakers are from Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center.

Thursday: “Wear Your Halloween Costume and Scare Away Drugs!"  Please note the very important restrictions:  no mask or face paint, must be dress code appropriate, no fake blood, no weapons/look-alike weapons.

Friday: “Lets White Out Drugs and Be Drug Free and Proud” Everyone is invited to wear all white!  Seniors only can wear Toga's!  Candy will be handed out during first period.

Join NAHS for Empty Bowl event on November 6th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mr. Akin's room 502. Enjoy enlightening conversations over bowls of soup where we talked about what it means to go home hungry. We are raising money for the Anna Crawford children's center.
