The men’s and women’s tennis teams are off to a great start of the season. Both teams started the season with big wins over Cherokee High School and continued with two more wins at Gilmer High School. The Knights traveled to Kell High School next where the girls came up short against one of the best teams in the state. The boys defeated the Longhorns in a tough match to add a third win to their record. Region play started Tuesday where the Knights secured their first region wins over Sprayberry. The Knights faced two tough Creekview teams last night in region play. The boys fell short against a solid Creekview team. Diego Bancalari wins in straight sets to add another win to his record at Creekview. Congratulations to the Lady Knights for their decisive 4-1 victory over Creekview. Becca Latty started the Knights off with a solid win at 1 singles, Megan Mullen and Arden Smathers win in straight sets at 1 doubles to add point number 2, Maggie Lokey and Gabrielle Thigpen win an exciting 3 set match to clinch the match, and Emily Wilken wins a great match at 3 singles to add to the Lady Knights region win over Creekview. Go Knights!!
The JV Knights Tennis Teams continue to fight hard against some tough opponents this season. Dailia Ndiaye and Izzy Roby get two big wins against Sequoyah last night! Ryan Brown and Logan Boraks get their doubles win over Sequoyah last night as well. Way to go Knights!
