It’s the second day of red ribbon week which means it’s time to get educated on the effects of the harmful contents you may be putting into your body.

If you do drugs or have thought about involving yourself with drugs you should know this first: Every year, nearly 44,000 people die from drug overdoses. Deaths due to drug overdose have more than doubled in the past 14 years and it’s come to a point where we need to change these statistics! Be smart, do not become just another statistic!

Dress to promote drug awareness, your theme for tomorrow is:

Wear your Halloween Costume to School (say boo to drugs)

Make sure to make your way to the auditorium during your lunch period on Friday to listen to a guest speaker share their testimony and stories in relation to drug usage in Georgia.

Don’t forget to sign the red ribbon week banner in the lunchroom during your lunch period!

If you sign the banner and make an appearance at a TedTalk during your lunch period, you may enter in a raffle for a chance to win a gift card to some of your favorite places, so don’t miss out on that opportunity!

There is no need to smoke that weed.

I hope all FIRST PERIOD teachers show the video so our students can listen to our very own Profe Kirk share a profound story!
