Announcements for March 29th

The Diversity Awareness Program's annual Culture fair is coming soon!  This is a free, all-day event for students to share stories, details, games, dances, and food from their unique culture, family, or religion.  If you are interested in hosting, and sharing about your ethnicity, culture, or nationality, scan the QR code on posters around the school, ask Ms. Nelson in room 1112, or come to a DAP meeting on Wednesdays after school, in the media center.

Prom tickets are on sale! Tickets can be purchased through GoFan using your student ID number. If you plan to bring a guest, be sure to complete a Guest Approval Form and submit it to Mrs. Barber’s office by Friday, April 14th. Forms can be found in 1201 or the front office.

Testing season is quickly approaching! Are you ready? National Honor Society is here to make sure you get the help you need. Peer tutoring will be available in the media center on Wednesdays during the 2nd half of all lunches. Please reach out to Mr. Barton if you have any questions.

Tickets for Friday’s kickball tournament can be purchased in lunches all week for 3.00.  Tickets will be good for 5th, 6th and 7th period classes.  You will receive your wristbands for the tournament on Thursday.  Thank you for supporting Goshen Valley Boys Ranch.

HOSA is sponsoring 3 drives to support our community:

  • Diaper Drive for Women & Children Shelter – Show your support by purchasing size 4, 5, or 6 diapers.
  • Socks & Underwear Drive – The most needed items in ALL homeless shelters. Support us by purchasing a new & unopened package of socks or underwear.
  • Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Toy Drive – Purchase specific items such as decks of cards, coloring books, and crayons.

Every 5 dollars spent = 15 mins of service. Max dollars spent is $30 = 1 and half hours of service. All items should be donated to Room 1303 by April 14th.

Lost and found will be donated this Friday at the end of school before we go on break.  Please come and claim anything that belongs to you in room 1201!
