A Cherokee County School District junior has achieved a perfect score on the ACT!
River Ridge High School junior Reilly Amason earned the top composite score of 36 on the challenging college entrance and placement test. Less than one-half of 1 percent of the 1.8 Million students who take the ACT each year accomplish this feat.
“We’re so proud of Reilly and all the hard work that led to this outstanding performance,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said, noting that Reilly successfully balances academic achievement with involvement in his school community, including as a tennis player. “Congratulations to Reilly, his family and his teachers on this success! We look forward to all you will accomplish in the future.”
The ACT exam, which gauges college readiness, includes English, mathematics, reading and science sections. Each of these sections is scored on a scale of 1-36, and the composite score is the average of those four.
He joins only two other students in River Ridge High School’s history to earn a perfect ACT score.
