Laptop Specs
Looking to purchase a laptop for your student? CCSD utilizes both Windows and Chromebook devices which allow students to access all the resources needed for their daily schoolwork. Lower cost brands to consider include Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, etc. Minimal specifications are provided below.
If your student needs a little more power based on their interests, upgrades are always available. Always ask if there are student discounts; and, if you are an educator, ask for an education discount.
NOTE: Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, middle school students will be provided with student-assigned CCSD Chromebooks for use during the school day. Specifications also are noted below. Middle school students are not permitted to use personal laptops, cell phones, or other personal electronic devices on campus.

Middle School Student-Assigned Devices Provided by CCSD
Middle school students will be assigned a CCSD Chromebook for use during the school day. No personal devices may be brought to school. If you're seeking to purchase the newest model of a similar device for use at home, that model would be the new Dell 11 Chromebook.
