Students Invited to Thank Educators Through #thanksCCSD Project thanks CCSD icon

Can you remember a teacher or another school staff member from your childhood who made a positive difference in your life?  Did you ever thank them?

“We know our School District is a family of caring teachers, counselors, bus drivers, cafeteria staff and many more, all focused on doing their best to serve our students …  and a new districtwide initiative will now give students the opportunity to thank them!” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hundreds of athletes and volunteers participated in the CCSD Special Olympics Awareness Games on Friday morning at River Ridge High School.  

CCSD Leaders Celebrate Farm-to-School Success CCSD Platinum Golden Radish 1 9 18 19

Cherokee County School District leaders celebrated the success of its farm-to-school initiative at a statewide awards ceremony this week.

CCSD’s School Nutrition program for the third consecutive year has earned the Platinum Golden Radish Award, the highest honor for farm-to-school initiatives.  The 2019 Golden Radish Awards on Tuesday at the Mercedes Benz Stadium was attended by Cherokee County School Board Chair Kyla Cromer and CCSD Chief Financial Officer Ken Owen, School Nutrition Director Tina Farmer and Facilitator Toni Hedges.
