Waste Management of Metro Atlanta, Incorporated d/b/a Pine Bluff Landfill, located in Cherokee County, will award one $5,000 scholarship to a Class of 2017 graduating senior currently attending Woodstock High School. Students interested in pursuing this scholarship must complete this application and return it to the address listed below. Additionally, each applicant must have two references complete the attached Confidential Reference Form. References may only include one teacher…the other must be work or extra-curricular activity related. Completed applications must be RECEIVED by the Cherokee County School District Office of Public Information, Communications and Partnerships by the close of business on March 24, 2017.
A committee of representatives from Pine Bluff Landfill, the Cherokee County School District and the community will review all applications and make award recommendations to Waste Management. The Cherokee County School Board and Waste Management will recognize the students chosen to receive the scholarships at the April 20, 2017 School Board meeting.
