The Real Wolves of WMS ~ Our  Wonderful Administration

 

Mr. Santoro

 

Michael Santoro is a native of Mahopac New York and is joining Woodstock Middle after spending the last two years as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at River Ridge High School.  Prior to his time in Cherokee, Mr. Santoro spent twenty years in Fulton County.  Mr. Santoro received his BA from St. John Fisher college in Rochester, NY, received a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Walden University, and his Educational Specialist in School Leadership from Berry College.  His first two years as a teacher were at Banneker High School, and his last eighteen years were spent at Riverwood High School in Sandy Springs.

In his time at Riverwood, Mr. Santoro taught Social Studies for his first twelve years, and spent ten of those years as an Advanced Placement United States History teacher.  Mr. Santoro served as Athletic Director from 2012-2017 and was recognized in 2017 as the Athletic Director of the year in Georgia for all 5A schools.

Mr. Santoro proudly served as head baseball coach for fifteen years at Riverwood totaling over 300 wins, with twelve State Tournament appearances.  He currently has several players on major and minor league rosters, and dozens of his players went on to play collegiately.

Mr. Santoro is married to Stephanie Santoro who is an Assistant Principal at Walton High School, and father to Sophia Santoro.  The family enjoys spending every available moment at the beach with their dogs Hudson and Huck.   Mr. Santoro enjoys attending concerts and rooting for his beloved New York Yankees.

He is excited to be a part of WMS, and looks forward to working with the community.


Dr. Campos

 

Lea Campos is humbled to be serving as Woodstock Middle School’s administrator. Prior to being an administrator, she spent 10 years in the classroom as a middle school teacher. She has taught ELA, Social Studies, and Lit/Comp. Dr. Campos has served as the English Language Arts department chairperson. She has been involved in the school leadership team for eight years working towards school improvement.

Dr. Campos enjoys working with middle school students and is looking forward to the opportunity to continue to be a positive influence in their lives. Dr. Campos graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2016 with her degree in Secondary Education. She believes that strong partnerships with family and community help make a school a safe place for students to learn and to grow.

 

 

 

 


 

Ms. EstesPamela Estes is thrilled to be joining the Woodstock Middle School administration staff this year and is looking forward to a wonderful 2019-2020 school year.  Her primary assignment will be to support 6th grade teachers, students, and parents.

Mrs. Estes has been an educator for 23 years.  Prior to her appointment as Assistant Principal, Mrs. Estes served Carmel Elementary as the Instructional Lead Strategist and member of the leadership team for two years. A native of Macon, Georgia, she served the Bibb County School District as an Instructional Math Coach, district Professional Development Instructor, district Elementary Math Team facilitator, classroom teacher, and a number of teacher leadership roles for a total of 16 years.  She also taught at Tattnall Square Academy in Macon for five years.

A life-long learner and encourager who is committed to finding strategies that work to educate all students, Mrs. Estes’ joy comes from celebrating the work and accomplishments of students and teachers, both inside and out of school, no matter how big or small.

Mrs. Estes holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College and State University, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Leslie University, and a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Berry College.  She also holds endorsements in Math, Gifted Education, and Instructional Coaching.  

Mrs. Estes is married to Mike Estes, and together they have six children - three who are married and three who are in college - and four grandchildren.  In her free time, Mrs. Estes enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor adventures, reading, and traveling.  She also has a passion for photography.  Her office and home are filled with prints of her family, nature, and of her travels.

 

 

 


Mr. Murray

 

Tim Murray is honored to be able to serve as an administrator at Woodstock Middle School.    His teaching career began in 1997, teaching high school in Palm Beach County Florida.  Mr. Murray also helped to develop athletes by coaching basketball and cross country at the high school level.  Mr. Murray has served Woodstock Middle School for the past 11 years teaching social studies as well as in-school suspension.   In addition, Mr. Murray taught at Polaris Evening Program for the last ten years.  He believes that his most important role as an administrator is to create an environment where teachers, students, and parents can work together and maximize their potential.
